2026 Trap Team Tournament & Fundraiser

Our fourth annual trap team tournament and fundraiser is held on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at the Cedar Hill Gun Club. Shooting began at 9:00 a.m.

EXOTIC DOVE

(Eurasian collared and

ringed turtle doves only)

Possession limit: No limit
Note: There is no limit on Eurasian collared and ringed turtle doves, but any taken in addition to a limit of mourning and white-winged doves during the migratory dove season must have a fully-feathered wing attached during transport.

2026 Youth Dove Hunt

Each year the Jayhawk Chapter of QUWF sponsors the Hunter Education Program and two youth hunts: a dove and pheasant hunt. This year the dove hunt will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at 4:00 PM. There is no cost for this hunt. Shotgun shells are provided as well as shotguns, if needed. The hunt will again be at the Clinton Wildlife area, just west of Clinton Lake. The hunt is open to youths ages 11-17. Parents are welcome as mentors, but other mentors will be available as needed. Details:

All youth UNDER 18, are welcome to this hunt! If you have someone over the age of 17 that is an inexperienced hunter, please contact John Hill.
Safety talk and requirements will be covered upon arrival, before the hunt.
Safe hunting best practices will be followed with small groups of both youth and mentors.
All ammo will be provided for youth.
If a youth does not have a firearm, one will be provided for them.
Once the hunt is over, youth are educated on how to clean birds.
Cleaning materials and zip lock bags will be provided for youth.
Water will be provided.
Parents are welcome as mentors, but other mentors will be available as needed.
